Small Carved Indian Dowry Chest

This beautiful small 19th century wooden box is very typical of antique Indian dowry chests. The front is carved whilst the lid opens with a door mounted on hinges.  The trunk is mounted on four wooden feet and features iron strapping and an iron handle on the top to carry around.
