Tamegroute Bowls On Stand

Discover the rich history of Tamegroute, one of the oldest towns in South Morocco where pottery has been a family tradition for centuries. The town is home to multiple ateliers, each with their own specialty, passed down through generations. Admire the authentic and unique Tamegroute pottery, known for its signature ombre hue, a true work of art crafted in this region.

The Tamegroute bowl on stand is created through an elaborate and meticulous production process. Starting at River Draa, the clay is excavated and kneaded until it reaches perfection. The shaping of the clay takes hours, resulting in one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery. The glaze, containing 1% copper, is applied and then the bowl on stand is fired in the oven, as Tamegroute pottery is only baked once. This process, using clay from the Draa river bed, gives the bowl on stand its signature yellow hue.
