Before first use, season the terracotta tagine by soaking it in water (around 24 hours), rubbing it with oil, and then baking it at a low temperature.
Heat Control:
Stovetop: Use low to medium-low heat and a heat diffuser (if using an electric or induction hob) to prevent the bottom from directly touching the heat source.
