This Chinese cane fishing trap becomes a lampshade when hung from the ceiling  According to legend, the famous Chinese folk hero Fu Xi created this trap after witnessing a spider using its web to catch prey. Its clever design includes a narrow funnel entrance to allow easy access for fish, but makes it difficult for them to escape.

All of our pieces are vintage or antique products, repurposed items or made of reclaimed material, they may have their own unique markings and natural colour variations.
